Microchip PIC16F62/716 Flash-based 8-bit CMOS Microcontrollers

These powerful (200ns instruction execution) CMOS, Flash-based, 8-bit microcontroller's pack Microchip's powerful PIC architecture into a package that is upwardly compatible with the PIC16C62XA, PIC16C5X and PIC12CXYZ devices, yet are easy-to-program using just 35 single word instructions. The devices feature a 4MHz internal oscillator, 128 bytes of EEPROM data memory and either 1024 or 2048 of Flash program memory.

 • Mid-range architecture,14-bit instruction set

Q. Example 16F1827A i/p is this a 18 pin dil line formate and is this the ending for all dil line formate components rather than surface mounted formates
A. Thanks for your question. On this range the –I/P at the end of the PIC code denotes DIL package and I/SO denotes a surface mount device.
